David Byrne: New Single, Album, ‘Ambitious’ Tour

Talking Heads genius David Byrne, 65, has announced his first solo album in ages, to be called American Utopia, preceded by lead single "Everybody's Coming to My House."

"When I was thinking about this record ... and what images might visually represent it, it occurred to me that many 'outsider' artists focus intensely on what they feel might be a better world ...They are dreamers — as are we all." — David Byrne, via Twitter

According to Spin, Byrne has also decided to tour with "the most ambtious show I've done since the shows that were filmed for Stop Making Sense." That means a 12-piece band and a choreographed concert!

His album comes out March 9, and the tour runs from March 3, 2018-August 28, 2018:
