Renée Zellweger, 48, is currently filming a biopic about all-time great Judy Garland (1922-1969) for Pathé and BBC Films, and we now have our first peek at her styling for the project.
DailyMail.com has published on-set photos showing Zellweger as Judy dashing from one place to another in fuzzy slippers and earbuds. Her resemblance to Garland makes the accoutrements jarring.
The film has also released a posed portrait of Zellweger in the role, and it reveals remarkable attention to detail:
The film is expected to following Garland as she performs her last gigs in London, showing the legend at her most fragile — navigating a romance with soon-to-be-last husband Mickey Deans (1934-2003), fighting with her management and reminiscing with co-workers and friends.
Some of Garland's iconic songs, sung by Zellweger, will also be included.
The movie is being directed by Rupert Goold (b. 1972) based on Tom Edge's (b. 1970s) script. It co-stars Jessie Buckley (b. 1989), Finn Wittrock (b. 1984), Michael Gambon (b. 1940), Rufus Sewell (b. 1967) and Bella Ramsey (b. 2003).
