I attended a book signing and talk with Seymour Stein, 76, the legendary head of Sire Records who signed everyone from the Ramones to Madonna and back again.

Stein was totally engaging and remembers every minute detail of the music biz, but on top of his business acumen, he was vulnerable enough to cry while describing the transformative experience it was hearing the Talking Heads for the first time and signing them.
