Billed as an "epic musical fantasy about the uncensored human story" of John, the film — directed by Dexter Fletcher, 53 — brought out everyone from Ellen Burstyn, 86, to Valerie Simpson, 72, to Darren Criss, 32, to its starry cast, including Taron Egerton, 29; Richard Madden, 32; Jamie Bell, 33; and Bryce Dallas Howard, 38.

  1. Baz Luhrmann is looking a bit, um… I don’t have a word for it, but it’s unfortunate he’s going the plastic surgery route and not aging naturally– he’d be much handsomer that way. A shame.
