CITY LAB: You won't soon forget these nutty 1980s videos of cities selling themselves!
My fave, above, is Detroit, since I grew up in Michigan. You're welcome.
HUFF POST: Trump continues to lie, saying there will be a "quick" coronavirus vaccine — there won't be. Experts are saying the coronavirus spread could mirror that of the 1918 flu pandemic that wiped out 30 million people worldwide. That outbreak, too, was downplayed by officials, with Philadelphia carrying on with a Liberty Loan parade on September 28, 1918, that allowed the virus, thought to have originated in Kansas, to explode. From there, U.S. troops spread it to Europe, and the rest is history. Here's hoping we don't have a repeat.

BUZZFEED NEWS: A former model has alleged that actor Timothy Hutton, now 59, raped her in 1983, when she was 14 and he was about 23. Hutton has denied the allegation, and says she had tried to negotiate a payout of over a million dollars prior to going public. There is no statute of limitations on rape in Canada, so it's being investigated; however, 14 was the age of consent in Canada at the time, so there would not be any allegations of child molestation.
TRUE CRIME DAILY: Stand and Deliver (1988) and ER (27 episodes 1994-1997) actress Vanessa Marquez was gunned down at 49 in 2018 by cops doing a welfare check. Now, bodycam footage clearly shows she brandished what turned out to be a harmless replica, but a convincing one, so no charges will be filed.
AP: Eighty-four-year-old pariah Woody Allen's memoir has found a publisher, and his aggrieved daughter, Dylan, 34, who has accused him of sexually molesting her during his contentious separation from her mother Mia Farrow (b. 1945), is outraged. The publisher? Hachette — which also published her brother Ronan Farrow's (b. 1987) Catch and Kill (2019).
