THR: Valerie Perrine, 79, has been battling Parkinson's for a decade, and facing a steep decline that has robbed her of her ability to walk and even eat. This piece is inspiring in that it shows how upbeat she is in the face of so many issues, and also how loving her close friend and caregiver is. I remember meeting her and telling her when I was growing up my dad had her Playboy under his mattress. Referring to her famous cleavage, she quipped, "They're retired!"

VARIETY: Richard Lewis, 75, has announced his retirement from stand-up due to a Parkinson's diagnosis of his own. "I'm on the right meds," he said. "It's cool."

EXTRATV: In story 3 about Parkinson's (!), Michael J. Fox, 61, is talking about its toll on him, admitting, "I'm not gonna be 80."
