Josh Gad is launching what we can only hope will be a series with many more episodes to fill up all of our quarantine down time: Reunited Apart!
The first installment is going to be incredibly hard to top: Everyone associated with the 1985 classic The Goonies showed up for a wildly entertaining 26 minutes of reminiscing, laughing and re-creating of classic scenes!
The reunion included director Richard Donner (who shot this on his 90th birthday); producer Steven Spielberg, 73; writer Chris Columbus, 61; protagonists Kerri Green (Andy), 53, Josh Brolin (Brand), 52, Sean Astin (Mikey), 49, Martha Plimpton (Stef), 49, Corey Feldman (Mouth), 48, Ke Huy Quan (Data), 48, and Jeff Cohen (Chunk), 45; villains Robert Davi (Jake), 68 and Joe Pantoliano (Francis), 68; and the singer of that incredible Top 10 theme song, Cyndi Lauper, 66.
Sadly missing: Anne Ramsey (1929-1988) aka Mama Fratelli; John Matuszak (1950-1989) aka Sloth; Mary Ellen Trainor (1952-2015) aka Mrs. Walsh; Keith Walker (1935-1996) aka Mr. Walsh; and Lupe Ontiveros (1942-2012) aka Rosalita.
My favorite part has to be when the actors ran through some of their classic lines, but the best part has to be that this endeavor has already raised nearly $20,000 for The Center for Disaster Philanthropy.
