"Like a Prayer" (1989) is easily one of the best songs Madonna ever wrote and sang, and Kelly Clarkson is one of the Queen of Pop's most ardent admirers.
In fact, Clarkson auditioned for American Idol way back when using Madonna's "Express Yourself" (also 1989) as her song of choice!
Now, the budding talk show host has offered a glorious cover of "Like a Prayer," showing there's nothing quite like it when a singer pays respectful homage to a classic tune.
