The feel-good ads were paid for dubiously, and will feature such relevant celebrities as (checks notes) Dennis Quaid. CeCe Winans, who is also a part of the ad campaign, is already distancing herself from Trump over this.

My co-Mantique of the Day for September 25 is Aldo Ray, the macho actor who worked in such films as "Pat and Mike" (1952), "The Marrying Kind" (1952) and "Battle Cry" (1955), and whose career lasted long enough that he voiced a character in "The Secret of NIMH" (1982) and appeared in films up to his death at 64 in 1991. He was a hard-partying boozer who chalked up the cancer that would kill him to his excesses. Sadly, he didn't live long enough to witness the reappraisal of his talents. .
