The Power of Rita Moreno, Mayim Bialik Hates Musicals, Madonna Celebrates in NYC & More

VARIETY: Rita Moreno, 89, fronts Variety's Power of Women special issue. Hilarious:

Following her Oscar, Moreno was one of the few to land Emmy, Grammy and Tony awards, a coveted distinction known as an EGOT. And those are just the populist prizes. She’s also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a Kennedy Center Honor and a Peabody Award and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “So far, everything but the Pulitzer and the Nobel,” she points out. “But I’m working on it!”

Really?

“I’m kidding, Jesus,” she exclaims to her interviewer. “You do have a sense of humor, don’t you?”

SOCIALITE LIFE: The late, great Whitney Houston will be honored with a MAC Cosmetics line in her name.

EXTRATV: Eighties and '90s supermodel Linda Evangelista, 56, has filed suit over a cosmetic procedure gone wrong. Claiming she was "brutally disfigured" by CoolSculpting — instead of freezing fat cells for a slimmer look, the procedure caused the cells to multiply, and the condition is apparently irreversible — she is suing for millions.

YOUTUBE: So Mayim Bialik, 45, is kind of an asshole. On The Late Late Show with James Corden, she talked about hating musicals, and brought up her falling out with Neil Patrick Harris, 48, over not liking him in Rent in the '90s. She really comes off poorly here, and clearly thinks she's adorable:

BOY CULTURE: Madonna, 63, made a big splash at her Madame X premiere and after-party in NYC. Who would have dreamed, back when "Like a Virgin" was becoming her first #1 hit, that she'd still be "disturbing the peace" and making music, art and movies all these years later? It's good to have one of the top stars from the '80s (and '90s and '00s) still with us, considering how many are gone: Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Prince, David Bowie, George Michael, Pete Burns ... !

THR: RIP to Batman & In Like Flint (both 1967) actress Jean Hale, who has died at 82. She was also the longtime (ex-) wife of Dabney Coleman, 89.
