HOLLYWOOD HERITAGE: Coming to the Hollywood Heritage Museum weekends September 23-October 16, 2023, is The Unexpected Life & Legacy of Norma Shearer: The Queen of the MGM Lot. This special exhibit, curated by Darin Barnes, is timed to coincide of the 100th anniversary of Shearer's first contract with the studio that made her a household name. Sounds like a can't-miss opportunity.

NYP: Liberace had a secret WeHo home. No surprise it enjoys flipping.

DENNIS, ANYONE?: I had fun doing Dennis Hensley's podcast (listen to me here!), and I can recommend his chat with gay historian J.D. Doyle, who is promoting his book 1981: My Gay American Road Trip — A Slice of Our Pre-AIDS Culture.

NYT: Clarence Avant, the so-called Godfather of Black Entertainment, has died at 92, two years after his wife's murder in a burglary. His work touched many famous lives and legacies, including Hank Aaron, Jim Brown, Bill Withers and more.
